Are you having issues with your NABU computer and need to do some diagnostics, troubleshooting or repairs? We’ve got some good news for you!
Rudy over at Rudy’s Retro Intel has created a wonderful document to help you with all your NABU PC repair needs:
After watching Rudy’s YouTube video, you can also grab the PDF document from the NABU Network resources section.
Another awesome piece of NABU history has been dropped by Leo Binkowski on his YouTube channel. Check out Leo’s video:
From Leo’s video description: “NABU Marketing wouldn’t let the Games Programmers put their names in the credits like other companies, so we found clever ways we could demonstrate that we were the authors of the games.”
Such a common thing with developers back in the day. Marketing could be such a drag. Leo showed them!
According to Leo this Pac-Man easter egg is revealed by eating a specific dot last on the strawberry board.
Leo Binkowski was 18 years old when he wrote this Pac-Man port for the NABU, and Laura Schening was just 17. Amazing!
In this video by Rudy’s Retro Intel he shows us the process of building a NABU network adapter RS-422 cable the proper way:
Thanks Rudy for this easy how-to informative NABU computer cable building tutorial. As we like to say around the open source NABU Network community, NABU Forever!
Now all I need to do is just add the chips to this NABU floppy controller addon card, then I’ll be using a GoTek drive with my NABU computer.

I’m fortunate to have a real NABU joystick, however for those who don’t and would like one, thanks to Richard Savage, you can now 3D print one.
Here is the Thingiverse NABU joystick files link. NABU Forever!
As new NABU owners and enthusiast are receiving and enjoying all things NABU computers, some have found their NABU power supply fan is stuck or rubbing making horrible noises.
In this video by Rudy’s Retro Intel he shows us how to fix it without removing the fan from the power supply:
This method is a lot easier verses going the dremel route like I did with my NABU LOL! Thanks Rudy for this easy tutorial. NABU Forever!
I’ve been working on this video since mid November 2022 and I’m finally getting it posted to my YouTube channel and wanted to share it here on the NabuNetwork.com website. Enjoy!
On December 1, 2022 NABU games programmer Leo Binkowski posted a really awesome video to his YouTube channel:
From Leo’s video description:
“September 29, 1984 CJOH TV “Regional Contact” Leo Binkowski of NABU, 6:50pm
For those interested in all things NABU. This is a profile a local TV station did on me which show me, my colleagues, my development system, and our office on Baxter Road in Ottawa.”
