A few months ago the NabuNetwork.com development team released our NABU Network Internet Adapter software source code. You can find the download link on our Internet Adapter Software page. Huzzah!
Since December 5, 2022 when our NABU Network preservation project was started, everyone on the NABU Network development team has strived for community involement, engagement and of course public participation with all NABU computer related software and hardware.
To us software, especially for a 40+ year old computer should be open, shared and community friendly. This is why we made our NABU IA code open source and have been working hand in hand with other open source community driven people all around the world.
So what can you do with our NABU PC software? You can use it as-is or even put up your own NABU computer Internet Adapter software server. Even the CP/M (ISHKUR) we use with our software is Open Source and Community driven.
In the past 6+ months a lot of amazing Open Source NABU computer hardware and software development has taken place and more is happening all the time. Be sure to check out all of our free NABU PC resources and join the fun!
Also, if you are a new owner of a NABU PC thanks to PellMill on eBay, it would be appreciated if you register your NABU computer serial number in our world wide NABU database. At the time of this blog post we have NABU PC’s registered in over 15 countries. Pretty cool!

Arthur Esch was the person responsible for bringing the NABU Network to the DC Area. Here is the interview where he tells all about how NABU came to be, how he was able to get it to a cable company in Alexandria, Virginia, and other things.
The interview was done over Skype in January 15, 2023. Video editing work was initiated by Scott Brown (RIP), but was completed by his daughter, Skye Brown.

Heads up for anyone who is using the NabuNetwork.com Internet Adapter software v2.0, we just updated (May 15, 2023) all the builds (Windows, Linux, Mac) with the ISHKUR updates for proper 80 column mode. The documentation has also been updated.
Last but not least, all the software (CP/M, MSX Games, Infocom Games and PTXPlay music) is on disk A now and disk B is for user “stuff”, so moving forward the only “network/virtual” disk that will be updated is disk A. Disk B is now blank in the May 15, 2023 downloads.

As of this post NabuNetwork.com has NABU computers registered in 14 countries around the world. Just think BITD NABU computers were mainly in Canada, a small footprint in the DC area (USA) and rumored to have less than 50 units in Japan.
Now 40 +/- years later there are NABU PCs in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, France, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and now the Czech Republic.
